Stoff-Ideen KMR GmbH (hereinafter "Stoff-Ideen"), headquartered in Nordhorn in Lower Saxony, specialises in the sale of high-quality fabrics, haberdashery and sewing accessories. A wide range of products for fabric and sewing enthusiasts is offered at several locations. The individual expert advice and good service, coupled with varied sewing courses and regular workshops make a visit to Stoff-Ideen an experience and form the basis for the long-standing customer relationships. In 2021, the company was able to generate a turnover of over € 6.5 million.
The management of Stoff-Ideen KMR GmbH filed for insolvency with the district court in Nordhorn on October 2022. Attorney Stephan Michels of MICHELS Vorast Insolvenzverwaltung GbR was appointed as the provisional insolvency administrator by the court.
The CVM Capital Value Management GmbH team led by Managing Partner Kai Peppmeier was exclusively mandated by the management and the provisional insolvency administrator to carry out a structured M&A process. Thanks to the successful cooperation with the responsible parties, CVM was able to successfully sell parts of the company to two renowned fabric and haberdashery chain stores on 01 May 2023 in the form of a transferring reorganisation, thereby securing almost 40 jobs.

The investors are Stoffe Werning GmbH and DER STOFF Stoffhandels GmbH. Both buyers are also fabric and haberdashery chain stores in the demanding end customer business. Stoffe Werning is expanding its branch network by the Leipzig and Hanover locations, DER STOFF by the Koblenz location. All the locations transferred take on the company name of the new owners and are thus fully-fledged members of strong alliances.
