The Platform Group AG acquires business operations of C. Jul. Herbertz GmbH

Based in Solingen and established in 1868, "C. Jul. Herbertz GmbH" is a renowned distribution company with a focus on outdoor supplies such as knives, drinking bottles and similar accessories. The company offers more than 30 international manufacturers via online channels and has a modern logistics site.
 

Structured sales process

The management of C. Jul. Herbertz GmbH filed an application for the opening of insolvency proceedings under self-administration with the Wuppertal Local Court in December 2024. Dr. Ermando Shuku from the law firm Runkel Rechtsanwälte Partnerschaftsgesellschaft mbB acted as an advisor to the self-administration. Attorney Dr. Marc d'Avoine from the law firm D'Avoine Teubler Neu Rechtsanwälte (ATN) was appointed the custodian.

The CVM Capital Value Management GmbH team led by Managing Partner Kai Peppmeier was exclusively mandated to carry out a structured M&A process. In successful cooperation with the parties involved in the process, CVM managed to sell the company in the form of a transferring reorganization.
