The Omeras Group is a leading German manufacturer of enameled façade elements and large storage tanks, headquartered in Lauter-Bernsbach in the Ore Mountains. The company has more than 180 years of experience in surface finishing and metalworking and is the only German company that simultaneously specializes in architectural and façade enameling.
Omeras’s production portfolio includes a wide range of geometries as well as solutions made from aluminum, stainless steel, and other materials. The company offers end-to-end solutions, from consulting and planning to manufacturing and turnkey installation.
The Omeras Group serves key customers such as public-sector clients, Deutsche Bahn, and the water management, agriculture, and chemical sectors. It supplies durable, corrosion-resistant, low-maintenance enamel products, 75% of which are exported to 46 countries. Across 21,000 m² of production space, customized cladding solutions for complex projects are realized.
In fiscal year 2024, Omeras generated revenue of approximately €21.9 million.
On March 1, 2025, the management of Omeras GmbH—advised by the law firm Flöther Wissing Sanierungskultur and represented by counsel, attorney Reinhard Klose—filed an application with the Local Court of Chemnitz to open insolvency proceedings under self-administration. Attorney Rüdiger Bauch of Schultze & Braun Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft was appointed by the court as insolvency monitor.
The team at CVM Capital Value Management GmbH, led by Managing Partner Kai Peppmeier, was exclusively mandated by management and the insolvency monitor to run a structured M&A process. Despite a challenging working-capital situation but with a promising order pipeline, CVM—working closely with all parties to the group’s proceedings—succeeded in selling the company as part of a self-administration process on August 12, 2028 via a combination asset/share deal, securing the majority of jobs.
