Buyer consortium acquires VIS – Vetschauer Industrieservice GmbH and secures continued operations

VIS – Vetschauer Industrieservice GmbH, based in Forst (Lausitz) and to operate in future as FIS GmbH – Forster Industrieservice – has been sold to a mid-market buyer consortium as part of a structured M&A process. The transaction lays the foundation for the long-term continuation of business operations and secures the future of the site.

Since 1998, VIS has been an established manufacturing partner for high-quality metal solutions. Over many years, the company has positioned itself as a reliable supplier, particularly for customers in mechanical engineering, rail vehicle technology and other industrial and skilled-trade sectors.

In fiscal year 2024, the last full financial year unaffected by insolvency-related effects, VIS – Vetschauer Industrieservice GmbH generated revenue of around EUR 6 million and employed more than 52 people.

Structured sale process following insolvency filing

The management of VIS – Vetschauer Industrieservice GmbH filed an application to open insolvency proceedings with the Essen Local Court on 12 December 2025. The court appointed the experienced restructuring expert, attorney Nils Meißner, partner at the renowned law firm GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB, as preliminary insolvency administrator. Business operations continued without restriction throughout the proceedings.

The selective and structured M&A process initiated during the preliminary insolvency proceedings has now been successfully completed. With the sale to a local buyer consortium, the long-term continuation of VIS is secured. The Forst site will be retained and the company now has a sound basis for its further operational development.

The sale process was supported by CVM Capital Value Management GmbH.
